  1. It’s too bad that Miss Maravelia has bought into some of the nonsense that she has in this article. She is confused about the correct definition of the word, “msqt.” It is well known that Otto Neugebauer and Richard Parker proved that the “msqt region” CANNOT be the Milky Way. That original definition was a guess offered in the 1920s by Kurt Sethe who did not have the Carlsberg Texts which provide the correct definition of the word available. I am sure that if Sethe were aware of Neugebauer’s and Parker’s findings, he himself would abandon his own guess in favor of the truth. The msqt region = the Milky Way is one of those myths of Egyptology that lives on and on and on, despite good information contradicting it. As for Miss M’s ethnocentricity and her uncritical acceptance of the conjectures of others, well, dear reader, beware.
